  • Partners elect two new Supervisory Board members
  • António Bernardo moves from the Executive Committee (EC) to the Supervisory Board (SVB)
  • Wu Qi elected new SVB member
  • Isao Endo and Veit Schwinkendorf leave the SVB
  • Future global EC to have five members

At their meeting in Munich, the Partners of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants elected a new Supervisory Board. António Bernardo, former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the global Executive Committee (EC), moves to the Supervisory Board. Also joining the Supervisory Board is Senior Partner Wu Qi from China. After five years in office, Isao Endo and Veit Schwinkendorf are leaving the Board. Since summer 2010, a staggered system has been in place for the Supervisory Board: Members' terms of office overlap so that continuity will be preserved despite changes in the Board's composition. From now on, the EC will consist of five members.

New Supervisory Board

At their meeting in Munich, the Partners of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants elected two new members to the Supervisory Board. Burkhard Schwenker (52) remains Chairman and Vincent Mercier (62) continues as Deputy Chairman. Stefan Schaible (43), who joined the Supervisory Board in 2010, also remains.

António Bernardo (52) is moving from the EC to the Supervisory Board. He joined Roland Berger in 1989 and was elected to the EC in 2003, where he has acted as Deputy Chief Executive Officer since 2004. He is trained as an investment banker and specializes in corporate strategy, organization and M&A. Roland Berger CEO Martin Wittig says: "We thank António Bernardo for his excellent work on the Executive Committee and are glad to continue working with him on the Supervisory Board."

Wu Qi (43), Partner since 2002, joined Roland Berger in 1995, having previously worked for two major international investment firms. He is a member of the Chinese management team and heads the Beijing office. He is also in charge of transportation, logistics and tourism as well as engineered products and high tech in Greater China (Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong). During his consulting career, he has worked with companies in numerous sectors. He is also an expert in developing and implementing reform strategies for China's large state-owned enterprises.

Isao Endo (55), Tokyo, and Veit Schwinkendorf (46), Düsseldorf, have come to the end of their five years. As they are not available for another term, they are leaving the Supervisory Board. Burkhard Schwenker thanks them for their successful work on the Board: "In addition to their normal consulting activities, our Partners Isao Endo and Veit Schwinkendorf have dedicated a great deal of time and creativity to their work on the Supervisory Board. Their professional perspective has ensured that our discussions were more objective where necessary and successful in their outcomes. They are true representatives of our diversity-based leadership model."

Five-strong Executive Committee

The Executive Committee of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants now comprises five members: Dr. Martin C. Wittig (47), Chief Executive Officer since 2010, Charles-Edouard Bouée (42), on the EC since 2010, Bernd Brunke (41) and Ralf Kalmbach (50), also members since 2010, and Tijo J. G. Collot d'Escury (45), who moved to the EC from the Supervisory Board in August of last year.
