Global restructuring study 2009

Companies everywhere felt the impact of the global financial and economic crisis in 2008. It struck Switzerland somewhat later, starting in the second half of that year. Particularly hard-hit were companies in North America, Europe and Japan. On average, global forecasts are predicting recovery no earlier than mid-2010. Managers in the US and Asia are somewhat more optimistic: they are expecting an economic upswing already by the end of 2009. These are the findings of a study entitled "Restructuring International 2009: The financial and economic crisis – Consequences and opportunities" by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
