During the latter half of 2010, it looked as if the global economy was quickly moving toward a recovery from the crisis that dominated 2008 and 2009. However, economic indicators are now telling a somewhat different story: After a strong bounce back in 2010, global GDP growth has started declining again in 2011.
An important lesson companies learned during the difficult years is that despite the high cost, they must invest in innovation if they are to keep and extend their competitive edge. The Strategic Planner Circle has therefore dedicated its 6th event to "Innovations Management".
Lucas Schmid, Head of Strategy at Siemens Building Technologies Group, was giving the keynote speech. He talked about Siemens's approach to innovations management and its strategic relevance. The evening once more was an excellent opportunity to informally share ideas and opinions across a wide range of industries.
